Recently Dread Central had the chance to sit down one-on-one with one of our favorite lively and outspoken actresses - Michelle Rodriguez- during the press day for Paul W.S. Anderson's upcoming sequel Resident Evil: Retribution.

Considering she's a franchise veteran returning (from the dead, no less) to the world of Resident Evil after ten years away, we spoke with Rodriguez about the evolution of Rain Ocampo and how she changed things up with her character in this fifth installment. Rodriguez also discussed how Rain's superhuman abilities were freeing for her as an actress in Retribution as well as her thoughts on reuniting with her Resident Evil family again.

If you’re a fan of the Resident Evil franchise, you’re probably wondering how Michelle Rodriguez is back in the fifth installment after what happened to her in the first film. It’s called cloning. Also, it’s Resident Evil. What I’m trying to say is, don’t spend too much time thinking about it. The fact is, while the newest installment of Resident Evil is called Retribution, it really should have been called All-Stars because director Paul W.S. Anderson has brought back a lot of the previous cast in what’s probably the second to last film. If you’re a fan of the franchise, it should be a lot of fun to see your favorite characters one more time.

Last month I got to visit the set while the production was filming in Toronto and participated in a group interview with Rodriguez. She talked about returning to the franchise, working with the weapons and the action scenes, and a lot more. Hit the jump to either read or listen to what she had to say.

As I type these words, it’s December 14, 2011 and I’m flying back to Los Angeles from Toronto. While I was in the great Canadian city yesterday, I got to spend all day on the set of the 5th Resident Evil movie with a number of other reporters and learned a lot about what’s probably the second-to-last installment of the very successful franchise. For more on the visit, hit the jump.

Before going any further, spoilers are discussed (in great detail). You’ve been warned.

Which is odd, because at this point does Milla Jovovich really need to learn to shoot? She’s already done a dozen of these movies, and in each one she’s handled an obscene amount of weapons. You’d think she’d be the one giving the lessons by now, am I right?

Anyways, here are four videos from behind-the-scenes of “Resident Evil: Retribution” shot by Jovovich herself and uploaded to Twitter. Jovovich is a tweeting machine, and if you’re not following her, you really should. Of course, you’ll have to sift through quite a bit for the good stuff (if you’re looking for news, I mean, and not just Milla whimsy), as ol Milla really likes to tweet. I mean, A LOT. I honestly have no idea where she gets the time to actually shoot a movie in-between all the tweeting.

The videos show Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, and Michelle Rodriguez all taking shooting lessons. No idea if those are real guns or one of those realistic props, but of course, that in no way diminishes the hotness factor whatsoever. Am I right, boys? [SOURCE]
